Wednesday, Humpday. It's raining! For how long is anyone's guess, but for now we're happy.
Bugs got really sick yesterday, her ear was numb and she had the runs and was throwing up. Called ME (Am I the 911 operator?)...then called her doctor (arghhhh) and went right over there before they closed for the day.
She was having an adverse reaction to the new antibiotics (yeah, the $70 ones, down the drain!)
Doc gave her some stuff to settle her stomach, told her to stay off the antibiotics until it was out of her system and then start a new type.
He gave her a "note for the boss" to stay in bed for the next three days, news that wasn't exactly welcomed by her employers.
She was told: I had better not see you traipsing around town!!!
Damn those people!
So Boo stayed the night here again, her cold clearing up nicely.
She is no problem, sleeps through the night, and easy to put to bed etc.
The big news is (in my eyes, and I get the feeling we're about to turn a corner for the best here) is that she and PH have been quietly talking about marriage. He wants to take care of her and wants to adopt Boo.
Awwww....
She assured us they are still taking it slow. Not many people actually know they are even seeing each other. It was news that I kind of wanted to hear, perhaps some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
We shall see.
First she needs to get well.
2PM:
It's raining cats and dogs. For those of you who haven't heard rain for a while, watch the video *lol*
Bugs is upset, her bosses refuse to pay her for the three sick days (doctor's orders no less) Isn't there a law against that?
She said she was ready to call her (bride) friend and talk to her about a job change.
Anyway, it's raining, a perfect time to crawl into bed and eat soup and recuperate.
As for me, I've got a large stockpot simmering on the stove, making Cajun black bean soup. I am also boiling some beets for a typical Dutch dinner, meatballs, beets and boiled potatoes. Yummm.
SGMKJ!
