Time flies, when you're having fun...or not...
The last few days flew by in a haze, I guess they were okay. Just busy, busy, busy.
Took the little one to Target a few days ago. As always I stopped by "her" department to see what new arrivals they had in toddler's clothing. I picked up a shirt, which she grabbed from my hands exclaiming:
"Ohhhhh....that is CUTE!!!!"
And proceeded to hold it up to her front to 'see' how it would look on her. She kept saying she thought it was cute, so, I had to buy it.
:>)
When we walked through the deli department I needed some Genoa salami, and started looking for the clerk. Without any prompting from me, she piped up:
"Oh Maaaannnnnn!!! Where are youuuuuu???"
He was delighted with her and gave her a slice of salami (WOW!!!! she said) Gawd, that was so funny!.
It seems that she has made a few leaps into speech improvement. It's amazing how she is already using short sentences. She is starting to sing along better as well, just TOOOO CUTE!!!
Today was our day off, except tonight the kids had a football party, and so Boo is here tonight until the game is over.
I took Wheelie out. They weather was great. Sunny, still very windy, but not cold.
I wanted to check out this huge thrift store in Marietta for books and stuff.
We were not disappointed. We came home with EIGHT Sesame Street videos, four nice books and a Fisher Price school bus! All for $10.00!!!
Me, the snob who doesn't DO thrift stores. HA!
On the way back we hit the local antique market, a large warehouse with tons of separate stalls/shoppes. It was enjoyable to just wander around in there, old 30s/40s music playing to get in the mood.
We didn't buy anything. I really don't NEED anything. I just got rid of some of my collections of teacups and saucers, blue/white plates, children's tea sets, my entire thimble collection...
We don't need any more "stuff"
But it was wonderful to go out and just look at stuff.
I've managed to list a few more CDs on eBay, and will list some more tonight. It kinda keeps the cash flow flowing for now. My first Social Security check will get here April 22nd! AT which time I hope to be able to get some health insurance going.
I apologize for not coming up with any of my "olden days" stories lately, my head just isn't tuned in to that at the moment.
But please come back and check, you never know when the urge will hit.
Until then, take care y'all and don't be a stranger.
SGMKJ!
