My Black & Decker died

Not too long ago I wrote about my beloved Rowenta biting the dust. Since we have to be frugal these days I decided to replace it with a cheaper Black & Decker brand.

HA!

Last Sunday IT died on me. I had it sitting there for a while, so it automatically turned itself off, the way it's supposed to.
But when I went to resume my ironing, it wouldn't start back on again.
I tried every socket in the house; waited a few hours, tried again. Nothing. Completely DEAD.

I can't take it back to the store, the receipt has since expired, and I threw away the box and sent in the registration form.

Contacted the factory, letting them know how p*ssed off I was. Got an email back reciting verbatim the text of the pamphlet. Duh, I already read that!

So, being completely fed up with anything made in China, I decided to splurge and get me another Rowenta. Made in Germany. (Could honestly NOT find an iron made in the USA!!!!)

If all American companies would just make their products HERE, in the good old U.S. of A. many problems would be solved. We would get people back to their jobs, we would produce decent products again, and we wouldn't have to call a technician in bumf*ck India for help.

Ok, got that off my chest.

It's Monday.

Day off!

Yeeehawwww!!!!!!

I told Wheelie I was taking a spa day (meaning, staying in/on bed reading and generally just piddling around accomplishing nothing, drinking tea and noshing)

Of course I've already cleaned the bathroom, cleaned out that pesky little drawer in the bathroom where you keep your brushes and combs and stuff, and was disgustingly yucky.

I might even tackle a box of my son's band's memorabilia and put it in a better, plastic bin.
Some of the posters cannot fit in a bin, so I'll have to find a huge poster holder for those. Saving it all for prosperity.

Other than that, it's overcast, a little chilly, a little drizzly.
Wheelie is taking HIS day off by playing music (LOUD) and plans to watch three movies.

I've received a few books from that book swap club, and intend to take it easy and read.

So there!

:>)

I'm glad you got a day to just be crazy and lazy. We all need those now and again.

I think I hear one calling to me!
