Whew!
It is now 3 pm and this is the first time today I get to sit down and relax a little.
At 9 am I got in the car and drove 59.6 miles out to Famous Footwear in Suwanee, Georgia, which is located way out north west, and requires a huge round about trip over I-285 and GA 400.
I have never even been in that part of Georgia, so it was with some trepidation that I took the trip.
I'm too cheap to get me one of those gadgets that tells you where to go, so I had to rely on Mapquest, which is not always too exact.
But...the traffic was light...I made it in a little over an hour...
The store was located in a brand new shopping mall, and the lady that I talked with yesterday turned out very helpful after all. I was just glad they had the damned shoes.
So I decided to look around...and guess what I found? A pair of pink Converse tennies for bugs! It even has tiny silver flowers on it.
PERFECT!
I did find these shoes online at the Converse website last night, and ordered them. Only to find out they were back ordered until late October. So I had to cancel that order.
I didn't think I would ever find these shoes so we all decided that she would wear her pink Crocs instead.
Funny how these things work out, isn't it?
So I was a happy camper today. I swung by Super Target on my way home for some groceries and a few yards of green ribbon for laces, and here I am...pooped...hot...but SO relieved!
We're all set, outfit wise, and Boo can use this little dress for Halloween too!
The weather is kind of poopie today, lots of clouds in the sky. No rain...yet...it's muggy in the house as I turned the AC off, and leaving the doors open just makes the air more humid.
Anyway.........................time for me to go and take a wee little nap....Boo-boo will be dropped off at six, so Mom can go to her bachelorette party with the girls. Tomorrow morning she is getting her hair cut, and after that the girls will go get their FEET done...brrrr
Guess that's something brides and friends do?...I dunno...
Bug's friend Maddie, the one who's getting hitched told her: if you're ever thinking of getting married, DO NOT have a wedding! It's TOO stressful!!!
*lol*
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....a nice cool glass of Chardonnay.....feet up, and eyes closed............
SGMKJ!

Thanks again...as you know I read your blog in BIG CHUNKS...not on every day basis.
You write with such ease and vivid details that I here in Scandinavia can identify...I've always admired your spirit and talent to organize life no matter what...but what speaks to me more than anything is that looking back you pick up all the good and beautiful pieces from that giant sack of memories we have at this age...and together with you we look at that huge mosaic and we smile and say: it has been wonderful...I especially liked your writing about how you and Wheelie settled down in Seattle...thank you, I'm often thinking of you although we don't meet the chat room any longer.
But I so hope that when the first snow will fall and christmas is arriving we could have glogg and ginger breads in the old place.
