Is Fall in the air?

Somehow it feels different outside. It's still warm and muggy here, but the air is 'dark' We've had clouds the past couple of days and of course you can tell the days are getting shorter again.

It's the smell I think...the air smells different. They cut two more pine trees down here yesterday because they were being eaten up by pine beetles. I love the smell of tree cutting. So now our little neighborhood, aptly named: Villas of Pine Grove, doesn't have any pine trees left. *lol*
It looks rather bare. They've planted a few maple trees, but I'm not sure they will "take" since we can't water anything these days. Lets hope we will get some more rain.

It's almost 12, and we just got back from the Tots reading program at the library. Boo is much taller than all the other children, and she won't sit still. So I let her roam, she is just curious, wants to explore.
She's trying to take a nap right now....yeah right...

Bugs is signing her new lease tomorrow. She is so happy. I'm just cringing inside. But I am behaving, not going to meddle.

The house is cute, but TINY. Given the furniture she owns, a big stuffed couch and chair, a huge TV, TONS of toys, a KING size bed....and no extra storage in the house, not even a garage, it will be interesting to see how she will cram everything in, and how she's going to manage.

In any event, she won't be moving in with us. It probably would have been a smart idea for her to have done that and save some money for a few months...but...............

So for now we're going to think positive and hope she'll be alright. Her being happy and confident is a good thing.

Daddy's dad bailed him out of jail after all. Since Bugs changed her phone number again, she doesn't know the fine details. So we don't know where he is, whether he's back to work.
She still hasn't seen her first check from Child Support Services.

Time will tell what happens with all that.

Wheelie and I went to Babies R US yesterday to buy Boo some REAL shoes. We tried them on while she sat in the shopping cart. A pair of cute Nikes seemed to fit rather well, so I took her out of the cart and let her 'walk' Oh boy, was that a mistake. I lost her immediately, she took off like a rocket. When I found her (whew) I let her run for a little while, but when I tried to get her back into the cart she threw a MAJOR hissy fit. We've never been through checkout and out of the store as fast as we did. It was kind of funny. But...she's got her SOES...:>)

We braved a stop at Costco after this little trip. She did alright, but it was clear that she would rather be somewhere else.
So we grabbed the stuff we needed and were out of there in ten minutes.

I'll probably take her to Super Target this afternoon, after her nap. It's the only place I can get Good 'n Plenties...which is something I've had a hunkering for these past weeks.

I used to order licorice from a little Dutch importer every month, but this is just getting too expensive.

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.....quiet......I think she's gone to sleep....

:>)

SGMKJ!
